A new restaurant in the city is making itself known in the capital with its delicious grilled dishes and exquisite dining ambiance — Third Degree Charred Grill and Resto Bar

In our conversation with Rina Lim, the restaurant’s Business Manager, she said that the place got its name from the word charred which means to partially burn or blacken, an apt label for a restaurant whose signature dishes are mostly grilled food. Dropping a trivia, Rina also shared that their inkling to name it as such was because the owner, Richard Lim’s alias is “Chard”

With a lot of dining places and food concepts opening almost every week in Cebu, we’ll give you reasons why this new restaurant is worth checking out!

Third Degree Charred Grill is nestled at the roof deck of a building in Meerea High Street, Ouano Ave. North Reclamation Area, just right beside Total Gas Station. Though not easily noticeable from the main road, the restaurant is a good venue for dining away from  the bustling crowd. There’s ample parking space for dining customers so parking wouldn’t be a problem.

Situated at the rooftop of a building, Third Degree Charred Grill offers a cozy al fresco-dining experience. It carries sleek, industrial-inspired interiors with exposed pipes, overhead beams, and a mixture of wood and steel furniture — all creating a warm and inviting ambiance that’s perfect for family dinners and catch-up with friends.

Hanging Edison lamps decorated the ceiling and wooden tables and wrought iron chairs are neatly arranged, providing enough room for customers and the restaurant’s service crew to move around. Different seating options are available. If you fancy an intimate dinner overlooking the buildings outside, you may choose to seat at the high chairs and tables at the rear of the spacious dining area.

The restaurant comfortably seats 60 people and it accepts exclusive bookings for special occasions. To liven up the atmosphere even more, acoustic and live bands will soon be performing to provide more entertainment to diners.

Though Third Degree Charred Grill specializes in grilled food, it also carries a varied menu that’s not only limited to grilled dishes. It offers Fusion cuisine. Their signature dishes are Kinamatisang Kawali and Braised Beef Kiting which are both my personal favorites.

If you’re planning to indulge in meat dishes, a light appetizer like the Crispy Kangkong would be a perfect choice to start off.

For the soup, their best selling Pochero is a must try. The tender beef shank meat in flavourful soup is heartily comforting.

Their crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside Crispy Pata is also a must try. I also love their Grilled Tuna Panga, BBQ Ribs and tender Pork barbecue.

With a convenient location,  inviting ambiance, delicious food and reasonably priced dishes, Third Degree Charred Grill Resto and Bar is definitely a must visit. It’s a new rooftop place in the city that’ll be your go-to hangout place.
