TOKYO SERIES | What to do in Shinjuku?

Shinjuku, in my opinion, is one of the most interesting districts in Tokyo. It has a lot to offer especially for first time visitors. Shopping malls are aplenty and there are alleys of bars and restaurants that offer sumptuous Japanese and other fusion cuisines.

Home to Asia’s biggest entertainment district, Shinjuku gets even more colorful at night with bright neon lights illuminating the city. It is the most vibrant district in Tokyo, after all.

We only covered most of Kabukicho with our limited time. Hopefully the next time we visit, we get to explore other activities in the area like strolling in Shinjuku Central Park and Shinjuku Gyoen, a park popular for cherry blossoms and checking out the scenic city view from Tokyo Metropolitan Building.

Here’s some fun activities you can do when in Shinjuku :

  1. Experience the Robot Restaurant show

2. Find the iconic Kabukicho Ichibangai arch and strike a pose with the arch as your backdrop! haha

3. Look for Godzilla!

4. Fill your belly with authentic Japanese food

5. Shop for pasalubong at Don Quijote,
